University of the trees 2012
A project in Deggenhausertal/Bodensee/Germany
Following an inner need more and more men and women set forth for new ways of interacting with nature and earth.
A Re-form-ing of thought, i.e. finding an new form is an artistic process, which Joseph Beuys calls social sculpture.
In a social sculpture external work is inseparably joined to internal work, for „the wellspring of desirable change in the world is altering consciousness”. In the –University of
the Trees– we look for a process to explore new forms of integral knowledge.
There emerges a room of learning about tree, nature, and man/woman. Each participant can learn and teach. Above all the trees are the teachers.
